Tucker Lost

His First Official Tooth on Tuesday night. We have been trying to get it really loose for several weeks now since the new tooth is already completely in! He was a very big boy and sooooo excited to have lost his first tooth (lots of kids in school had already lost one or two). The Toothe Fairy dropped by and left him some $!

We have the Kindegarten Rodeo this morning so will post pics later before I got to work if I have time. I'm not sure what time it is over.

Have a great day!

We awoke this morning to

a TORNADO SIREN! I'm moving back home. Not once in my adulthood have I heard tornado sirens in Lubbock, but I've been here 8 months and this is probably the 4th time! It was 3:45 when the weather woke me up. Brent was just going to bed because he is leaving today at noon and is sleeping first (team trip). We turn on the TV to see a huge line of storms from the far North to the far South of the Dallas area. Brent is like Oh No! So we go downstairs and start unplugging stuff (we were struck by lighting once before since moving here ya know) and there is no satellite, so we try the laptop with no internet connection. Then TORNADO SIRENS start going off! So I go wake up all the boys and we pile them in the closet. Brent pulls out an old old black and white TV from the garage to try and get some weather. There is only fuzz on the channels but we can hear what they are saying. No Warnings. Get this. The only clear channel...Telemundo! Clear as can be! You can only imagine Brent's reaction to that! We put the kids back to bed and I get in about 30 minutes of sleep before the alarm!

I guess they went off because DeSoto has some pretty BAD damage and we aren't too far from them. I didn't see any pics on the news yet, but will hopefully tonight. Also, a co-worker told me that the roof was blown off a hotel in South Waxahachie. The winds were up to 90 miles an hour!

On the up side! I have noticed everything here gets greener a whole lot faster. I guess it is the rain. Everything is just so pretty and green!

Weather update!! Just heard the electricity is out at the Jr. High so they have been sitting in the hallway since 8:30 this morning. They have buses ready to take them to the High School gym so they can feed them lunch later...oh wait...lights may be coming on. Anyway, Brent just called and he is on the way to school to get BAM if the lights don't come back on. How miserable would that be to spend the day sitting in the floor of a gym doing nothing?

Well, better get back to work.
Have a happy spring day!

My Boys ROCK!!

I just wanted to say that my boys are awesome, amazing, cool, smart...just THE BEST!

Brando and Keyto both received Commended scores on their TAKS reading tests! Brando only missed 3 and Keyto 1! They are doing so well here. I admire them so much and how they have gone through this huge change with such courage and self confidence. It is very inspiring what we can learn from our children.
Congratulations Boys, we are so so so PROUD of you both!

I will be posting some pics this weekend (hopefully) of my co-workers/friends and place employment. I don't think Mom and Dad will ever see it since they come up on Friday and I take that afternoon off.

Hopefully I get some pics posted of the front yard and all my flowers I am planting.
Tooodl-loo (does that sound right?)

Keyto's an All Star

Keyton has gotten to be quite the basketball player. He played with a new team here in Red Oak and they only lost one game and went on to win the Championship! Now, this team had a coach who is also new to town. He took the team that the organization gave him and this team went up against teams who have been playing together previously! We are so proud of Keyto and his teammates. His coach did a SUPER job coaching and teaching.

Keyto went on to be nominated for the All Star team and did a great job. Brent and I both believe that was the best game eVer!

Congrats sweet boy...
Oh shoot! I download those pics before I turn them. Sorry, got in a hurry. Gotta go to work
Have a super duper day!

Happy Birthday TuckerBear!

Tucker is 6 years old today! He is so excited to say he is 6!
I can't believe it! It just doesn't seem possible.
He is such a blessing and beautiful little soul.
Here are some pictures from his party on Saturday in our front yard. They had a really great time. We have made some really great friends since being here and I am so grateful for all the neighbors and friends that came by. Brent's parents got to come to either their first birthday party or second, not sure which. They moved before Brandan turned one.
I will be taking off 1/2 day today to take cupcakes to school and then Tuck chose Chickfila for dinner. Which is a good thing since BAM has a pitching lesson and practice tonight and Keyto may have basketball practice.
Enjoy the pics and leave Tuck a comment if you have time. I will read them to him tonight.
Have a beautiful day.
**Well, Tuck is home sick! He came home yesterday and slept for forever and felt warm so I gave him Motrin. Then he woke up around 3:00 am and I gave him more Mortrin. He got up this morning extremely sluggish but kept saying he felt okay and would go to school. He was really looking foward to the day with his friends and me taking off and coming up there to serve cupcakes and pick him up. When I went to brush his teeth he got kind of sick and was gagging and started shaking. He then looked up at me and said "can I stay home with you today"? So I guess that is the next best thing - a day home together. I did take the cupcakes to school and heard them tell him Happy Birthday over the announcments. I picked up his ribbon, pencil and sticker. All his classmates were so sad he wasn't there. Mrs. Prachyl is a doll though. She is going to save the cupcakes for their snack tomorrow so Tuck will be there. Hopefully my Birthday Boy will feel better in a little while.

Rain, rain, and more rain

It is raining today, well since mid-morning and is supposed to turn into sleet later this evening. I don't know that we will get snow, but maybe it will freeze and school will be delayed. I could use an extra two hours at home in the morning! Keyto was supposed to have a band meeting tonight but it has been canceled, Tuck's soccer was canceled, so now waiting to see if Keyto's basketball practice is cancelled.

Brent is cooking the Angel Chicken recipe I got from my mil. So I am looking foward to a nice evening at home with warm food and a fire!

Have a nice evening and be safe!

Snow in Red Oak

It does snow in Red Oak, it just doesn't seem to want to stick! We were so wishing for a snow day today, even though the forecasters said it was too warm to stick.

Have a great day!
