A Little Basketball

I finally remembered to take my camera to Brandan's last basketball game. The lighting is really bad in the gym, but hopefully you can get an idea (click on the picture and you can see it better). The team was awesome and only had one loss and did win District. Brandan has learned so much this season from these awesome players. Mainly, how to think fast when passing and shooting.
Well that's a lot of posts for one day, but I had lots of pics to show and wanted each one to have it's own spotlight. Have a great Saturday.

Valentine's Day

We had a great Valentines Day and I hope that all of you did also! Here are some pics of the boys eating their fancy dinner (taco bell)! I did find the time to make them some cupcakes! They gave me a sweet heart necklace and red candle from the only store in town, who by the way was doing a booming business! It is funny here...they have these white tents set up sporadically in parking lots throughout the little towns that sell bunches of flowers. They had set one up in the parking lot where I work. There aren't many flower stores so they do a booming business. I thought it was so sweet watching from the store window at work, the different men, young and old, buying flowers for their sweetheart. Very touching...

100th Day of School

Week before last, Tucker celebrated the 100th day of school. They decorated a poster with 100 items and had to wear 100 somehow. Stamps certainly come in handy on days like this! Here is a pic of him making his poster and of his shirt. His teacher liked his shirt so much she wanted to borrow my acrylic stamps and now I think she is hooked!

The Big Surprise

My big surprise is that Tuck has won another award at school! He is one of THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN at school. They pick one student per grade. It is similar to Student of the Month. He received a big sack full of candy and prizes (it was like Christmas all over). We did a poster (top pic) for school in the showcase by the office and he will also be in the paper. I will send copies to all!!

IT'S FRIDAY, IT'S FRIDAY!

That is the sound of me doing the happy dance! I love Fridays! They are always so casual and relaxing. It is just knowing that as of 5:30 my world will not necessarily slow down, but that anything I do will be my choice. I hope you all have a great Friday.

Today promises to be busy again at work. My printer went non-stop yesterday. I have lots of jobs to print today also.

Tomorrow we have haircuts, Keyto has basketball, and new glasses. So, when we head to Cedar Hill for Brando's scrimmage, we will go to Eyemasters for glasses. His are so warped it is amazing they are still together!

I have a surprise to announce, but want to wait until I can post the pic to go with it.

Gotta get the last one to school and off to work.
Make it a great day!

Happy February

Here I am! It has been pleasantly busy this last month and there is always so much I want to say that I get overwhelmed and don't say it!

It is a quiet Sunday morning. I have been up since 6:00 am. Brent got up to go to work, so Dudley got up and of course has to eat! I couldn't go back to sleep so decided to enjoy having the house to myself.

It has been a nice weekend so far. Keyto had a game yesterday and they WON again! They have only lost one game so far. He was 3 for 4 on free throws or as Brent says 75%. I was so proud of him and I think he is enjoying it. He has a new friend on the team that also goes to his school.

I took Keyto and Tuck to see PETER PAN last night. The Waxahachie High School put it on. It was really cute. Tuck really enjoyed it. He liked it when the Lost Boys were hiding down in the audience. We had two of them at our feet. One was telling Tuck not to tell anyone where he was. Our fave characters were Hook and the pirates. Those boys did a really great job. Tuck got to high five Hook in the foyer after the play. It was nice to do something different.

Today we will have our annual Family Super Bowl party. The boys look foward to all munchies and getting to eat them around the coffee table in the living room. I don't think Brent will be here. He left this morning for Lubbock and won't make it back in time.

Brandan has officially started his practices with his Mansfield Rip City team. The owner of Rip City is a scout for the Dodgers and has run their first two practices.

On a sad note, Brandan's coach Curt has had a terrible trajedy in their family. He was called out of practice on Friday night. His nephew was killed in a stabbing in Arlington. He was walking home with some friend and a group of boys (probably a gang) jumped them. All the boys were injured one fatally. Please keep this family in your prayers. I can't even begin to imagine the anger and sadness they are feeling. This story has been all over our news.

I am so ready for spring. It is really nice here this weekend. I put RoundUp on the weeds in our front yard yesterday. I think next weekend I am going to dig out a flower bed in back. I will start small since there is so much room to landscape back there. The front just needs flowers.

I am going to get some curtains made for the utility room today. I have some fabric from way back that will be pretty.

Have a happy day!
