Sunday Baseball

Brandan was asked to fill in on another baseball team today. The coach played baseball in College and then also for the Boston Red Sox minor league. Really great guy and great with the kids. He was also pretty awesome and let Brandan catch. It was nice to come across a real coach who isn't close minded on the "lefty-catcher" issue! The kids ranged in age from 14 to 17. They are either freshman or on the Jr. Varsity at their schools. They played a double header against this team and won both games.

I think I need to do a scrapbook page on all the different uniforms Brandan has worn since he has been down here!

As you can see all the boys are doing great and have had a great week! I will post pics of our outing on Sat. later. I wanted to go ahead and get all these up.

Hugs,

MUSIC MAN

Keyto is doing great with the trombone. I am so proud, especially since I couldn't even play Mary Had a Little Lamb on the mouth piece of the flute when I was in 7th grade! He got 3rd chair which is really BIG!

Keep up the hard work kiddo...

Love ya
Mom

Tucker

Early morning creativity. One morning this week BEFORE school Tuck was coloring me a picture. I wish I could be that creative first thing in the morning.
All the boys got their progress reports last week and they are doing great! Mostly A's with one or two B's. This is a copy of Tuck's progress report (note: Reading level & Teacher comments!).

Paper Cowgirl

Friday night I rec'd an invite from cindy to attend the PaperCowgirl Vendor Night. I was so excited! I wanted to attend PC but wasn't sure of sports schedules and by the time I got the schedules, the classes were full...bummer. But, I was excited to see in person what these talented ladies had created. There was so much to see! The ladies were great and so was the food. I am so excited for Cindy that it was a success. I met Cindy at work (she was making copies for some kits and my co-worker introduced us) and was surprised to find that I was already in love with her blog and her booth at The Doves Nest. I recognized her from her pic on her blog! We have a lot in common. I am so relieved to have started meeting some kindred spirits here! Makes me feel more at home.

Anyway, here is a pic of the items I did buy... 2 vintage ephemera kits, Christmas collage kit, two tags (one for me and one for a friend), sweet bird ornament.

Next year I will be at Paper Cowgirl! Hope to see you there!

Hugs,

K

I wish you a day of laughter and the feeling of love from those close to your heart and those who are just passing through.

AUTUMN EQUINOX

The Autumn Equinox signals the beginning of Fall. It is the point where there is exactly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness at the Equator. - HolidayInsights.com

I know in our famil we are so excited it is the beginning of Fall. It has been so hot here this summer. I think this is the first year of my life I have been ready to see summer end!

Have a beautiful Fall Day!

A few things

It's been a busy weekend, but with a little downtime too, so that is always nice. I have a few pics that I want to post.

I never posted of BAM's bday party with his friends. We fixed burgers and hot dogs and then Brent took all of them + Keyto to Main Event. I also made BAM's favortie: Giant Chocolate Chip Cookie for his cake. After the party, while waiting for parents the boys decided to try boxing! I know one boy left immediately after giving another a black eye. Then Keyto and Tuck got in on the action.
Last weekend when we went to the mall, we were finally able to go to Build A Bear. This is Tuck's bear...Ronaldinho. That is the name you get when big brother tells little brother the name of ONE player and little brother says okay. I tried everyway I could to tell him there were lots of other players he could choose from, but oh no, we had to go with the first one Big Brother said. Anyway, he is cute and Tuck loves him. I call him Ronnie. Much easier than RONALDINHO.

Tuck began digging through his toy box last night, which probably hasn't been touched since we moved here...and look what he found! Too Cute!

Hugs to all! Love ya,
K

Busy, Busy

So sorry for not posting lately. It has been so crazy around here. School and sports are back in full swing and with Brent working this new shift, it is all up to me!

Hurricane Ike made a little visit here on Saturday, but not strong enough to scare us away from the mall! It turned out that we were on the outer edge of it, instead of closer to the middle like the weather guys originally thought. I guess on Friday they were telling everyone we were really gonna get it though. When I went to do my weekly Walmart shopping after work on Friday the shelves were empty! Crazy around here how they react to storms and such.

Anyway, Brandan still had all his bday money and gift cards, because there really isn't anywhere around here to really shop unless you have a free afternoon. Since games were canceled and it was so wet, we headed to Arlington to the mall. I also got my haircut here before we left! We had a great time shopping. Brent was working.

So, on Sunday, Keyto had his last indoor game so I took him to that while Brando and Tuck stayed home and relaxed. Brent was working. Then I took Keyto to CH to pick up his new glasses at Eyemasters. They didn't open until 12:00 so we shopped around until then. Tuck will get his new glasses sometime this week. They both got great check ups and their eyes are healthy!

Then home to what I thought would be a relaxed Sunday at home, do a little cleaning, fix a good dinner, finish a sign i'm working on...but no, get a call Brando has baseball practice and Brent won't be home in time to take him. Should only be about an hour practice (yeah right!)...get home about 6:00. Luckily Brent fixed spaghetti when he got home so dinner was served!

Monday night - Tuck's first outdoor soccer game...lost to a huge team from DeSoto (very rough), we are playing 6, 7, & 8 year olds! They don't have enough kids in these small towns to do a team per age, so they combine. I swear one girl was as big as Keyto and 50 lbs. heavier!

Tuesday - Keyto's first outdoor soccer game in Waxahachie (WON 7-1), Brando goes to baseball game with friend, luckily Tuck has no soccer practice

Wednesday - Brando baseball practice

Thursday - Tuck soccer practice

Friday - Frito annual party at Six Flags - looking foward to this!!

Saturday - two soccer games and start a baseball tournament

Sunday - hopefully win a baseball tournament

So that's my week! I will try to post some pics tonight of the boys and what they have been up to.

Love you all and have a great day!
