Birds, Fish, Sharks and more...

Friday we took a Day Trip to The Dallas World Aquarium.
It's not just an Aquarium though. It is a Rain Forest too!
The picture below is right when you walk in the door and is 3 levels of fish, birds, monkeys, otters, turtles, just anything and everything that might live in a Rain Forest.
It was Awesome. Everywhere you looked there was something to see.
The animals were everywhere!
In the picture below you can see a waterfall to the right.

Birds to touch and feed

Tucker's favorite the outdoor Penguin exhibit.
We fell in love with this little fella.
He kept closing his eyes like he was dozing. I guess lots of visitors make you very tired!

The most exciting thing to see was this tunnel where the sharks and eels swim beside and above you! It was crazy. The sharks come right at you and then turn before they go into the wall.
HUGE Crocodiles!
As still as can be...very scary looking!
Octopus

My 2nd favorite next to the penguins was the owls.
If I had been able to find the Sloth he would probably have been 2nd.
The class I subbed in the Friday before Spring Break watched a Jeff Corwin movie that had a Sloth in it. They are pretty cute creatures, but oh so very slooooow.
We watched some kind of jungle fire dance that was interesting.
And if this little guy had done something other than sleep, he would have been a favorite.
He did look like just a big kitty cat the way he was sleeping though.
I would love to scratch his neck. Bet he is soooo soft!
Very brightly colored Flamingos! Very graceful
We had a very nice time. Everyone was glad we went.
Today the kiddos are back in school and I am trying to do our taxes.
Hope you have a great week!

BUC's Basketball

Last Sunday we headed to the park for Tucker's Basketball Party.
This was his 2nd season with the Bucaneers.
The team only lost one game!!!!
Whoo!Hoo!
Their Coach is awesome and once again we were amazed at what the kids learned!

Water Balloon fight was a great ending to a great season!

Today we are heading to the Dallas Aquarium. Tucker and I are very excited.
I could sit and watch the penquins and sharks all day.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Enjoy the warm weather before COLD strikes again.
Hopefully it will be the last spell of winter.

Made me so proud!
The team started out kinda rough, but they are on a roll now.
All district games are WINS!
The team also won the championship at the Ennis tournament last weekend!
Go HAWKS!

As Promised...

More Birthday pictures!
This is at El Chico's where there is endless Queso (that you don't have to share with your brothers) and we also surprised Tuck with a Brownie Supreme (since he had cake Sat. and cupcakes for lunch)! Luckily Tuck didn't catch on when the little "older" waiter we had told Brent that "they would be out with our surprise in a minute"! Really now, who did he think didn't hear that and where was the person that was being surprised??? We were all sitting at the table! It was crazy, but like I said Tuck was too happy to be paying attention to our waiter suffering from dementia! Never fear though he was very sweet and we left a decent tip!
Lots and lots of presents from family near and far!

I took Chik Fil A and cupcakes to Tuck for lunch.
I even put a little army guy on top of each one for the kids.
The whole cafeteria wanted one. I wish I had time to make that many!!
All in all Tuck had a wonderful 8th Birthday.
It is Spring Break so we are off to spend some of the money at the closest outdoor mall.
Lots of baseball going on this week. A game on Tuesday, which we won 17-0 against West Mesquite. A game tonight against Mabank and a double header on Saturday against I don't know who. I can't remember that far ahead! It is supposed to be cold, wet and windy on Saturday my most FAVE-O-RITE day of the year: The first day of SPRING!!
It's okay though, I will be working hard and havin fun at The Crafty Scrapper!

A Birthday Party!!

Saturday was Tucker's 8th Birthday Party!
He invited 4 buddies over for a "camp out" that included lots of hotdogs and smores.
We were going to sleep outside in the tent, but the forecast included rain and when they say 20% around here you can bet it will rain...of course the rain didn't start till 7:00 am Sunday, but they enjoyed the camping in the living room anyway.
His party had a CAMO theme.
Cake was chocolate!!

Chocolate Donuts with sprinkles for breakfast!

All lined up and ready for sleep (around midnight I believe).
I slept on the couch just to make sure nobody tried anything crazy
like midnight basketball or something...

His gifts were all Star Wars related, which he loved

Can't believe it's been almost 8 years

Crazy brothers!!!!
B is squatting down, but not Keyto. He is enjoying his new found height and being taller than at least two of us now. B is still taller than him, but probably not for long.

Love it!

Roasting wienies in the backyard.

Army fights and Keyto looking thrilled.
B was at a baseball game.

Decorations....

More pics to follow of his actual day and celebration at school and with family.
Miss all of you who are miles away, wish you were here.
We love you!
