2010 Baseball Banquet

I am a little late in posting these pictures, but I am too proud of Brandan not to!

He received the honor of being selected for All District Team 1.

Brandan has gotten really close to a couple of the seniors.

It was a lot of fun to see them all relaxing and having a good time.

Myself and several moms met that morning at Whataburger to get ready for decorating!
We had the best time. I have gotten to know some of the Moms really well this season and just love them so much and am so grateful to have finally found in them what I had in my baseball friends in Lubbock. One of the Moms has a senior who is her baby, but we have promised to keep in touch. The other Mom also has a Senior, but luckily her middle son is also Brandan's age so we are in these last two years together. :)

I thought everything turned out really nice!

In the meantime, we have moved on to club baseball with his Arlington A's team.

My Banquet Hopper

I've been calling Brandan my Banquet Hopper, you know like a bar hopper, only he has made the banquet rounds with his very good friend Samantha.

This is the first banquet...her Softball Banquet.

He then asked her to his Baseball Banquet.

Then she asked him to her Golf Banquet (she is quite the athlete).

Don't they look great!?! And look how well they match!

GO HAWKS!

Tonight we played our 1st playoff game and WON!

Tomorrow we play again at Home!

Our pitcher tonight is a Senior and he ROCKED!

All the boys played great.

Our third baseman is also a Sophomore like B and he made some AWESOME defensive plays!

Our Centerfielder is a Senior who caught some amazing fly balls that looked impossible!

This is our NEW athletic bus!

Don't ya love it??

The boys love it. Tonight was the first night anybody rode on it.

The seats are maroon and the bus is AIR CONDITIONED!

Don't tell the boys, but I think it has a VINTAGE look! (Wink)

Well, I'm off to make signs for tomorrow night.

Keyto's 13!

We celebrated Keyto's 13th Birthday with a Paintball Party!

Brent was evidently the target and was the only one with NO experience!

He was the first one shot (and numerous times)!

It was a great day to be outside.

These pics are foggy looking due to the nets surrounding the battlefields.

Keyto is in the grey sweatshirt and that's his Rambo friend Shane who was fully equipped with his own gun and 4 canisters of paint around his waist! He's obviously not a novice.

And there's Brent! Unfortunately I didn't get the picture of him trying to crawl on his belly, which he later decided wasn't a very good idea!

It was a really great day!

After Paintball we took Keyto to Chilis and a couple of B's baseball buddies joined us.

Even Tuck had to get in on the action. He's decided he wants to have his party there next year!

Spring in RO, Part III

Seeing the boys like this always makes a lump in my throat!

Friday was Senior night and we played one of our biggest competitors.

We still have 1 more regular season game and then playoffs.
I can't imagine what the Mom's of the Seniors were feeling...I found tears in my eyes as I watched the boys escort their Moms out on the field.

Luckily one of the Mom's who is a good friend will still be here the next two years, because she has a son who is the same age as Brandan. There is one Mom though, whom I will miss dearly. Her Son is her baby so she will be done with High School this year.

I haven't known the Seniors that long, but when they take your son in and teach him and support him, they hold a special place in your heart.

I wish them all the Best of Luck.

Mom was here this weekend and was able to see all the boys play a game.
She was a trooper and luckily the weather was great.
The wind was blowing like crazy on Saturday, but thankfully no dirt like back home!
Tucker scored TWO goals and his team won 3-1.
Keyto's team tied and played great.
Brandan's team played hard, but battled the other team's fans (who are awful), and the UMPs!
They lost, but hopefully will get it back this Friday in their last game of the regular season.

Spring in RO, Part II

Wildflowers in Texas!

There is not much more beautiful this time of year.

Mom was here this weekend and has never seen Bluebonnets.

We took a drive and found lots of them along with Indian Paintbrush and these yellow flowers.

I don't know what the yellow ones are called, but they are everywhere.

Tucker and I are going to have to find a book of wildflowers so we can identify them.

I think he may have his mom's love for flowers.

Enjoy the beauty of spring, I know I am.

Happy Birthday to

The Crafty Scrapper!

Last Saturday we celebrated 5 years at the store with a big

50's Celebration!

Lots of scrapping, giggling, and great food!

The owner, Carolyn (2nd from left in pink skirt), is alot of fun,

an amazing business woman, mom and wife.

She holds wonderful classes, always has the most update products and has amazingly talented designers and teachers. Sherri (not pictured), who is the Assist. Manager is incredibly creative and does the most beautiful work. Annette who is next to me teaches classes. I have been lucky to be in one of her classes and like the other ladies is incredibly talented.

Mary Lou (black skirt) holds everyone together!

I am very proud and blessed to be apart of this amazing store.

I hope to be there when she celebrates 10 years!
