Birds, Fish, Sharks and more...

Friday we took a Day Trip to The Dallas World Aquarium.
It's not just an Aquarium though. It is a Rain Forest too!
The picture below is right when you walk in the door and is 3 levels of fish, birds, monkeys, otters, turtles, just anything and everything that might live in a Rain Forest.
It was Awesome. Everywhere you looked there was something to see.
The animals were everywhere!
In the picture below you can see a waterfall to the right.

Birds to touch and feed

Tucker's favorite the outdoor Penguin exhibit.
We fell in love with this little fella.
He kept closing his eyes like he was dozing. I guess lots of visitors make you very tired!

The most exciting thing to see was this tunnel where the sharks and eels swim beside and above you! It was crazy. The sharks come right at you and then turn before they go into the wall.
HUGE Crocodiles!
As still as can be...very scary looking!
Octopus

My 2nd favorite next to the penguins was the owls.
If I had been able to find the Sloth he would probably have been 2nd.
The class I subbed in the Friday before Spring Break watched a Jeff Corwin movie that had a Sloth in it. They are pretty cute creatures, but oh so very slooooow.
We watched some kind of jungle fire dance that was interesting.
And if this little guy had done something other than sleep, he would have been a favorite.
He did look like just a big kitty cat the way he was sleeping though.
I would love to scratch his neck. Bet he is soooo soft!
Very brightly colored Flamingos! Very graceful
We had a very nice time. Everyone was glad we went.
Today the kiddos are back in school and I am trying to do our taxes.
Hope you have a great week!
Hugs, K
