Littlest Elf

The 2nd grade did a musical right before Christmas called The Littlest Reindeer.
It was adorable. The kids did a great job and so did the Music Teacher and all the 2nd grade teachers. It takes a lot of work from everyone to put one of these together and run smooth.

Tuck and the little girl in the pink did a square dance together.
(he never ever wants a speaking part, so this is his 2nd musical to square dance)

What a cutie pie!

Christmas Tree

This year we got a real tree! The first one in many years. We used to get one every year and that is what we both grew up with, but got tired of all the needles and got a fake one a long time ago. That fake one made the move with us, but was crooked and had some lights out the first year we were here. We retired it after that first Christmas here. Last year I bought a little white one with the intention of using it in the window above our front door this year (see pics of house on Christmas). Our real one this year was so pretty and smelled so good.
Only thing is, our vacum was at the repair shop when we brought it in, so little needles that sprayed everywhere were to be vacumed up with little dirt devil...

The tree in the living room is decorated with our modge podge assortment of ornaments that we have collected, received or made over the last 17 years.
Next year we will add a black tree (per Tuck's request this year) and decorate it with all college sports ornaments.

Our Angel is always leaning...we call it a tradition now!

Love my Poinsetta!

Dudley & Wally

Wally never gets to come in the house, so one day I surprised everyone and let him in.
He was sooo excited. We called him upstairs and it was HILARIOUS! He is very uncoordinated and didn't know how to run up the stairs so he bunny hopped up them and then coming down was a whole other issue. He started running and tripped. Then he just froze and started shaking. He actually crawled the rest of the way down with his paws spread as far apart as he could get them. He is getting better and now after a couple of bunny hops he figures out how to run the rest of the way up and coming down he runs and then leaps the last few steps!

Hope your warm today,

Soccer Party & Faux Hawk

This is where Tucker's Soccer Party was held in DECEMBER! Isn't it awesome??
It is the recreational center in the town just north of us. Indoor water slide, lap pool, and little kid's play area.

Brent (obviously still a kid himself), Tucker and Keyton about to go down the slide.
Yes, I did the slide too, and loved it. It is a blast.

playin' and splashin'

Going down again.
Tucker and a friend's little brother wore Brent out taking them down over and over.

The last time Tuck got his hair cut, Denise (also our neighbor, friend, hairdresser, and wife of Keyto's soccer coach) put his hair up in a FauxHawk. Tucker wore it that way for about 2 weeks even in our family picture that was in our Christmas card. It took some time to fix each morning so luckily we haven't had to do it in awhile.

Keyto Winter Tour/Concert

Keyton performed twice in December. The first time was The Elementary Winter Tour (pics below). The band spent one day performing at each of the four elementary schools and at our child care center. Brent and I went with the band to help set up and take down at each school. I love listening to Keyton perform. It makes me proud to know he is apart of the music. They played songs from the Nutcracker and THE POLAR EXPRESS which was my favorite and awesome!
The band wore Tuxedo shirts, ties and cumberbuns (I don't know how to spell that)! They looked great. We had our lunch break at CiCi's pizza as you can see in the picture below.
The 2nd time they performed was their Winter Concert (pic above) and all the bands in Jr. High and Intermediate were there. Keyton is in the top performing band at the Jr. High!

Wish you could have been there and heard them.

Birthday Pics From Nov 29th

Me (remember no makeup), my boys, and my cake they made me.

I received some wonderful gifts from my Mom, Aunt Ann and Pam & Richard (inlaws). My mom got me a purse. I have been looking for one for a YEAR, some clothes (badly needed), some money, and as usual, some sweet very thoughtful little items. When growing up, there were always these smaller gifts that she included, like earrings, socks, ornaments...you know what I mean? I always looked foward to seeing what kind of special little things she had found for me.

My Aunt gave me one of the ski vests that are so popular right now. I have been wanting one. Mine is pink with a black scarf! Perfect!

Vintage Apron from my mil! Love it!

Vintage book cover with buttons also from my MIL!

Funny she got me this because I have been looking for vintage anything with my initials on it!

Sweet angel pillow ALSO from my MIL! Isn't she a great gifter!

Hope you've enjoyed this recap!
