Dudley & Wally

Wally never gets to come in the house, so one day I surprised everyone and let him in.
He was sooo excited. We called him upstairs and it was HILARIOUS! He is very uncoordinated and didn't know how to run up the stairs so he bunny hopped up them and then coming down was a whole other issue. He started running and tripped. Then he just froze and started shaking. He actually crawled the rest of the way down with his paws spread as far apart as he could get them. He is getting better and now after a couple of bunny hops he figures out how to run the rest of the way up and coming down he runs and then leaps the last few steps!

Tucker with his FauxHawk and Dudley always trying to find a warm body WITH a warm blanket to snuggle up with!
Hope your warm today,
K

Scrapbook Layout

Noooo , not from me, but from Keyto!!
He had to do a Scrapbook layout for his Language Arts class about a pet.
I think he did a great job and so did his teacher because he got a 100!!
(Wally's not so cute right now after he drug himself thru a mud puddle under the fence
again last night to explore the neighborhood)
I am enjoying being home today because there weren't any sub jobs and because I have been fighting a sinus/hayfever issue (not an infection thank goodness) and barely have a voice from trying to get the attention of 6th graders on Monday and 1st graders yesterday! I am cleaning, getting ready for my BFF to be here tomorrow so we can hang out on Friday and for my Mom who is coming next week for Thanksgiving. Needless to say we are all so excited to see some familiar faces from home and spend some time with my Mom here at our home.
Hugs,

He's not very smart

but we love him anyway! Silly Dog! With all the rain, he has been digging under the fence and getting out. One day, when Brent drove up in the driveway this is what he found...Wally...STUCK! Under the fence. Whining. Silly Dog! It was interesting to watch Brent and Brando get him back through :)

On another day, Brent drove up and Wally was just sitting on the front porch waiting for him. We have also walked out into the garage to find him sitting in his kennel. We keep the garage door open a little when we are home so Dudley can go in and out and get some air in there. That is also where we keep Wally's kennel for when it is cold or raining or he is just being a sissy and can con Brando into letting him in it even it it's just a little cool outside with NO rain.

You should see the set up Brent has got going along the east fence to keep him in! Everytime Wally escapes the set up gets more elaborate and complicated.
Sorry so long in posting. Can't believe it's been almost a month. I've been so busy and weekends have been kinda slow with all the rain. When we have downtime, I don't have many pictures, but then when we are busy with sports and activities I have pictures but no time to post them! I do have some great ones to post this week though so stay tuned!!
Have a super Monday! I will be subbing at Tuck's school with the 3 year olds! I had two classes (each day am and pm) of 22- 4 year olds on Thursday and Friday. It was too cute.

Wally's Fun in the Sun

This is Wally's pool!
He likes it about half full (if it is full he won't get in).
He likes it to be cool and clean water!
He gets in and does a couple of circles then starts splashin' and finally will sit down.

And of course, the best part, is rollin' around in the grass afterward.
Wally's version of slip 'n sliddin'!
That is if you can catch a turn in between those wild boys!
Slip N Slide has since been thrown away due to it being a big health hazard!
The white strip in the middle was cutting into the boys...Tuck has two really bad cuts and if they had been any deeper might have needed stitches.
WE are on the look out for a new "Shark" one.
Stay cool and have a great Tuesday.
Hugs,
K

Wallace

Otherwise known as Wally, or our chokit yab (as Tuck called him a few years ago). Now Wally used to live in Lubbock in a really cool doghouse my dad built. This was a plain on the inside, not tricked out like my Dad's dog's house. Not tricked out...because Wallace would chew up the carpet lined walls, drag out the blankets into the frigid wind chill, and we didn't trust him with a heat lamp since there was no telling what he might do to it. The only time he was allowed in the house (mudroom actually) was with temps in the 30s or there was snow and ice on the ground.

BUT...here in Dallas (where it is way warmer in the winter) he has become quite spoiled! He is very scared of the North Texas thunderstorms, so instead of seeking the dry and warm shelter of our shed (sealed and has blankets) he runs from door to window to window in the rain, wind, sleet, and oh lets say 40-60 DEGREE weather (when there is no rain or snow) wanting in to sleep in this teeny tiny cage (click on pic to see him closer)! He uses the side for his pillow. I told my oldest son the other day he needed some bumper pads like in a baby crib!

He is just spoiled rotten. When I go in the kitchen in the morning to start my coffee, he raises one eyebrow and opens one eye to look at me. To get him out to pee, I have to crawl halfway into the cage to grab his collar and pull him out! Crazy Dog! Gotta love 'em though.

Have a great Thursday! It's my last day at work for the week. My best friend is coming in from home and we are spending Friday and Saturday doing girl stuff! I am soooo looking foward to it.

Hugs,
K
